Welcome to Hyulim

Hyulim is located on a place named as Eunsalee, which means a retire place for the scholar. Inside the deep mountains in Jeonla-Do province, we hope you to enjoy the pure nature and have time to look at yourself.

 

Hyulim is different comparing with the other guesthouses. We don't accept the person who don't know to love and respect the nature. Please visit us when you feel yourself is the right person who fits to mother nature.

 

 

Inside Hyulim

 

 

 

Rooms) Hyulim is mostly made of more than fifty-years-old hinoki cypress trees and loess(yellow earth). Beneath the floor we have put charcoal, bay salt and elvan. You can smell the aroma from the trees when you enter the room and after one night sleep you can feel refreshed by the structure materials.

 

 

 

Ondol) We use logs to heat the room. It's an old traditional Korean way to warm up the room which is called as Ondol. Inside the room the air is fresh and the floor is hot. You'll be stucked on the floor even before you realize.

 

 

 

Restroom) In every houses(we have five houses which has two rooms each) we have a bath room with hot water from the tap. Please save water because it belongs to our descendants.

 

 

 

Meals) Our meal is served with bean-paste(matured for five years) potage, Gimchi and other dishes which is all home-made proudly. Two meals are included in the charge.

 

 

Rates

We only accept under four persons. An old monk in Korea said, "When there is one person it is like a tiger from the sky. When there are two, they are like gods, when they are three they're like a village. But when they are four it'll be like a noisy market place." We hope you to enjoy peace with the nature and other guests.

How to come

You can reach Hyulim from two towns. One is Jangsung(장성군, 長城郡), and the other is Gochang(고창군, 高敞郡).

If you're using public transportation you can use bus or train. Jangsung has both bus terminal and train station and Gochang has a bus terminal.

From each town we have buses to reach near by Hyulim. It'll take fifteen to twenty minutes walk from the bus stop. When the weather is bad the road might be hard to walk, so please wear comfortable shoes(We recommend you running shoes or mountain climbing shoes).

지난 9일 새벽, 개포동에 거주하는 이종호씨(29세, 남, 아래 사진 왼쪽)가 자택에서 응암동에 위치한 AATNB 사무실 블랙홀까지 택시를 타고 왔던 것으로 알려져 논란이 일고 있다.

그는 같은 날 점심 때 연수엄마 진돌과 그녀의 딸 연수양를 만나 쌀국수 및 커피를 섭취한 후 일찍 귀가했다. 집 거실에서 텔레비젼을 시청하면서 빈둥거리는 모습을 보다 못한 모친의 잔소리를 견디지 못하고 본인의 방에 숨어든 뒤 오후 내내 메신저를 통해 그의 지루함을 주변 지인들에게 전했다.

12시가 넘을 때까지 지루함을 호소하던 이씨는 결국 AATNB의 전여진씨(35세, 여)를 설득하는데 성공, 택시비를 제공받는 조건으로 개포동에서 응암동까지 택시를 이용하여 이동했다. 밤 12시를 넘은 시간이라 할증이 더해져 요금은 약 22,000원 가량 청구됐다. 택시비를 전씨로부터 제공받으며 응암동에 왔던 행위가 잦았던 이씨는 미안한 마음에 출발 전 정씨에게 메신저를 통해 '여진누이한테 미안하니까 니가 돈을 들고 나와있어라'고 전한 것으로 밝혀졌다.

그는 개포동 자택에서 두 병의 일본주와 안주를 위한 닭가슴살과 버섯, 브로클리 등을 가방에 담아왔다. 당시 택시비를 전달하기 위해 오피스텔 앞에 나갔던 정재윤씨(29세, 남)는 당시를 회상하며 "종호가 택시에서 내릴 때 가방을 들어줬는데 안에 뭐가 들었는지 너무 무거워서 가방이 찢어질 뻔 했다"고 말했다.

사무실에 도착한 빈지배긴스씨는 전 일본인 내연녀에게 선물로 받은 두 병의 일본술을 택시비를 제공한 전씨에게 선물로 전달했다. 그가 준비한 재료를 이용해 간단한 안주를 만든 뒤 즉석에서 술상은 준비되었고 늦은 술시가 시작됐다. 그렇게 시작한 술자리는 새벽이 깊어지면서 영화관람과 병행되어 결국 해뜨고 난 뒤 오전 7시에 이르러서야 종료됐다.

당시 논란이 됐던 주제는..
1. 왜 올 때마다 택시를 타고 오면서 택시비는 갖고 오지 않는 것인지.
1. 일찍 출발했으면 대중교통을 이용해서 올 수 있었는데 왜 미리 움직이지 않는 것인지.
1. 대중교통도 끊기고 할증까지 적용되는 시간에 오는 이유는 무엇인지.

메신저를 통해 인터뷰에 응한 이씨는 위의 주제와 관련해, "아무 이유 없다"는 주장을 하고 있어 논란이 깊어질 것으로 예상되고 있다.
